Canadian Forces

The Canadian Forces Health Services (CFHS) provides health and medication coverage to Canadian Armed Forces personnel.

Correctional Service Canada 

The CSC provides medication coverage to federal inmates in Canada. Five regions provide coverage to 43 federal institutions, some of which are affiliated with treatment centres and/or 24 hour hospitals.

Interim Federal Health Program

The IFH Program provides limited, temporary health and prescription drug coverage for resettled refugees, refugee claimants, and certain groups who are not eligible for provincial or territorial health insurance.

Non-Insured Health Benefits

The NIHB Program provides coverage for medication and health services that are not insured by provincial, territorial or private insurance plans to eligible First Nations and Inuit. Permanent residents of the Northwest Territories or Nunavut are eligible for HIV medication coverage under this program.

Veterans Affairs Canada

The Prescription Drug Program (POC 10) provides medication coverage to eligible Canadian Veterans, Canadian Forces members, Royal Canadian Mounted Police members, and certain civilianswho have a demonstrated medical need and have a prescription from their physician or dentist.
